to the expectation. Moto have not seen the market this time, companies like
Xiaomi, Asus and Oppo are providing some great phones in this price range. Now let’s see what we get in new moto g6.
Xiaomi, Asus and Oppo are providing some great phones in this price range. Now let’s see what we get in new moto g6.
In
this review from our team of GadgetAny we will discuss its performance, camera,
display, battery, price and overall performance. If you don’t want to miss our
future posts do follow us on Instagram, Facebook.
PERFORMANCE
Moto
G6 runs on the Android 8.0(oreo) operating system. It is powered by 1.8 Ghz
Cortex A53 processor which sits on Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 soc chipset. The
processor performs well in day to day usage but it lags on heavy usage. Adreno
506 GPU is present which takes care of all ghraphical requirements.
In terms of photography, the
Moto G6 is armed with a dual primary camera setup. With the help of these two
lenses (12MP + 5MP). You can capture mesmerizing images and also shoot good
quality videos. The presence of the dual lens setup is also used to capture
wide angle photos. To fulfil the selfie needs, a 16MP front camera along with
an LED flash is present. You can also make video calls in low light conditions.
BATTERY
The smartphone is fuelled by a 3,000mAh
Li-ion battery which can be charged at a lightning-quick speed. Thanks to turbo
charger which is bundeled with this phone.
DDISPLAY and DESIGN
The Moto G6 bears a 5.7-inch IPS LCD
display which has a pixel density of 424 PPI. It is a result of the excellent
screen resolution of 1,080 x 2,160 pixels. On top of the display, a
Corning Gorilla Glass v3 is placed that protects it from minor collisions and
scratches. The smartphone has a splash-proof body and features a fingerprint
sensor to provide added security.
STORAGE and CONNECTIVITY
The Moto G6 houses a 32GB internal
storage which can be increased up to 256GB by using a memory card. For
networking and sharing, the device offers a wide range of connectivity features
such as 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi, mobile hotspot, GPS, Bluetooth and a USB type-C.
VERDICT
The 3GB RAM
variant of the Moto G6 retails for Rs 13,999 whereas the 4GB unit I reviewed
will set you back by Rs 15,999. For the price, the Moto G6 offers a stunning
design, solid performance and impressive battery life. Unfortunately, the
cameras fall short of expectations and its pricing pits it directly
against the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro as well as the ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M1 (review), both of which offer much
superior specs and better cameras. Therefore, as much as I’ve enjoyed using the
Moto G6 as my daily driver, the smartphone is difficult to recommend as it
pales in front of the competition.
